Christmas Event News

I am pleased to say that I will be attending this year's Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair. This is a fantastic fair to kick off the Christmas season. It will be followed by Holmfirth Art Market and Made contemporary craft fair in Brighton in November. I am waiting to hear back from a couple of other things so more event info will be added as and when.

It has been a desire of mine for a while now to make small boxes and lockets and to expand my range of skills although I rarely seem to have the time to experiment. Today however I found I had some time so I went to work trying to make a hinged copper box.

Bovey Tracey

Here's a little pic of my stand at the Contemporary Craft Fair in Bovey Tracey. 

Despite the wind and rain the event was well attended and had a fantastic festival feel with some great food stands and loads of demonstrations going on. I hope I get the opportunity to go again next year!

Well I have been hard at work recently preparing for the show at Bovey Tracey and adding an online shop section to my website, as well as preparing orders taken for galleries at the British Craft Trade Fair... phew!
So the shop is now live and you can order directly from me on my website www.sheredesign.co.uk. The site uses paypal but you can always contact me directly if you'd prefer to pay via cheque.


And you can find me on stand B3 at Bovey Tracey. This is just on the left of the main entrance so you can't miss it! 
Unfortunately all this hard work means that our allotment has taken a back seat and we're growing more weeds than vegetables. Oh well, no rest for the wicked!

Shere Design is going to Devon!

Although it doesn't feel like it yet, Summer is fast approaching and during the 15th - 17th June I will be selling jewellery at this years Contemporary Craft Fair at Bovey Tracey in Devon. This is the first time I will have attended this event so I'm really looking forwards to meeting some new faces.

ok since the British Craft Trade Fair the skies have been permanently grey and it just hasn't stopped raining and although this is not much fun for us, it is great news for the allotment. I showcased some new brooches at BCTF which were inspired by the allotment I share with my partner and two other friends....

This Weekend! If you are planning on visiting this year's British Craft Trade Fair then you will be able to find me on stand 276. The fair runs from Sunday 15th to Tuesday 17th at the Great Yorkshire Showground, Harrogate.

Upcoming Exhibition News

Just to let you know, I will shortly be sending work up to The Craft & Design Gallery in Leeds for an exhibition entitled 'The Birds & The Bees'. This exhibition will feature ceramics, jewellery and mixed media work inspired by nature.



I have also currently got work on sale at the New Ashgate Gallery in Farnham and Pyramid Gallery in York as well as at other galleries around the country. A full list of retaill outlets can be found at the top of the page.

Nearly Christmas

Nearly there - Christmas is around the corner.

Unfortunately I have had to cancel this weekend's event so if you were planning to come and see me - just get in touch and I'll see what I can do.

Busy Busy

Phew....

I am halfway through one of the busiest Christmas seasons I've ever had. If you haven't seen me at Made in Brighton or at the Harley Gallery last weekend - then the last chance to come and see my work in the flesh is in West Bridgford, Nottingham on the 17th & 18th December. Look at the events tab for more info.

Even though I'm flat out at the moment - new ideas have been creeping in for some very exciting new work to develop in January. Watch this space!

hello.

I apologise for not having updated this site much this year. This is because I have created a new website at www.sheredesign.co.uk

...however, although my lovely new website is full of images of my new work etc, it runs on flash which I hear is no good for Apple products, so I have updated this site with images of my new collections.
